Today I had the privilege to award two of our Education Sector Security Officers assigned to South Tyneside College with our Staff Recognition Scheme – Shining Star Awards and Gift Vouchers.
Security Officer, Susan Peverall whilst on duty administered First Aid to a Student in distress and applying CPR until the Ambulance Crew arrived undoubtedly saved the Students life. The Student made a full recovery.
Security Officer, Bill Smith whilst on duty attended an incident involving a very upset Student suffering with severe anxiety brining the incident to a calm situation and reassuring the Student and a safe closure.
